How to construct parallel lines

As we saw in the article "Parallel, intersecting and coincident lines", parallel lines are straight lines that never meet. Below you can see two ways how to construct parallel lines.


In the first example of a construction of parallel lines, you'll need a ruler and a set square.




In the second example of a construction of parallel lines, you'll need a ruler and a compass.
